Brittany Downey launched Union Grove Design in 2014 as a design and lifestyle blog to inspire readers to bring personal flair and functional style into their homes every day.
Brittany graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2013 with an honours degree in business, with minors in marketing and branding. Her interest in home design began during her time in university as she longed for a place to feel like home while she was away and found that the power of styling can go a long way.
Brittany went on to study Interior Design at Sheridan College and was certified in Visual Design (CDECA) and worked for interior design and décor businesses – everything from merchandising and social marketing, to on-the-floor selling. Brittany further explored a career in marketing, working on a number of brands and applying her design knowledge to the corporate world.
In 2019, Brittany and her fiancé, Adam, moved into their first house and immediately got to work in turning it into a home. The incredible response on social media to the before and afters brings us to a revitalized Union Grove Design as we see it today.
Union Grove Design is about bringing both style and design into your home, whether it is working together on a project or through inspiration. Brittany is bringing together the unique, the personalized, the classic and the contemporary, all to create purposeful, comforting and beautiful spaces.
